Ayra Starr has released her highly anticipated new single, “Hot Body,” following weeks of social media teasers. The track joins a slate of major releases from Nigeria’s top artists, including Fireboy DML’s new song, “Dopamine.” Wizkid makes two appearances this week: first on “Dynamite,” a highlight from South African star Tyla’s new EP, WWP, and again on “One Condition” alongside Fola and DJ Tunez. Street-pop titan Asake also continues his run of cross-cultural collaborations, teaming up with French artist Tiakola for the percussive and emotive track, “Badman Gangsta.”

As the competition for song of the summer heats up, British-Nigerian singer Gabzy has entered the race with his new EP, It’s Not You, It’s Summer. The rollout for Amaarae’s forthcoming album, Black Star, continues with the release of “Girlie-Pop!,” a glossy new track that follows her previous single, “S.M.O.” From South Africa, amapiano producers TitoM and Yuppe have shared their new album, Us or Against Us.

On the global stage, the week’s biggest rap release is “Which One,” a highly anticipated collaboration between Drake and UK drill superstar Central Cee. The track formalizes a long-teased creative partnership between the two artists.
