As declared today by Apple Music, Nigerian-born singer-songwriter, Lekan Osifeso Junior, professionally known as Lojay, is Apple Music’s latest Africa Rising recipient. In response to this opportunity, Lojay says: “Thank you Apple Music for putting a spotlight on my sound. It’s a huge honour I don’t take for granted especially with all the amazing artists the continent has on display. It’s amazing to see how far my music is able to travel and how well it’s been received.”

Lojay’s career as an artist bloomed when his 2021-released EP with the master producer, Sarz, titled LV N ATTN gained traction and became No.1 on Nigeria’s Apple Music Album Chart.

The EP’s hit track, “Monalisa” held its third highest position on Apple Music Charts in July 2021 gaining the attention of renowned American singer, Chris Brown who wanted to jump on the song, leading to the release of a remix of “Monalisa”. His other singles such as “Leader”, the Amapiano banger, “Canada”, assisted by Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa and the recently released “Automatic” have been received fairly well, helping Lojay coast the wave of relevance in the music scene.
