Burna Boy and Asake have earned nominations in the International Artist of the Year category. Their competition includes figures like Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey.

Furthermore, Rema’s acclaimed song “Calm Down” finds itself nominated for International Song of the Year alongside the viral hit “Water” by South African singer Tyla.

Cameroon-American artist Libianca rounds out African representation with her breakthrough song “People.”

 

The public holds the power to influence the outcome of these genre categories through voting on the BRIT Awards’ Instagram page.

 

The winners will be revealed at The BRIT Awards with Mastercard on Saturday 2nd March at The O2 arena, broadcast live on ITV1 and ITVX.
