The arrival of  Davido’s fourth studio album, Timeless, has set new records on major streaming platforms in Nigeria. The album is the biggest debut for any album in Spotify Nigeria history, garnering 14.5 million streams during the first week of its release and smashing the previous record of 4.89M streams by Burna Boy’s Love, Damini.

Timeless also set a new record for the most first-day streams for an African album on Apple Music Music globally, breaking the record for the biggest debut week for any album on Apple Music Nigeria. On Audiomack, it had over 12 million streams in its first 24 hours, the only album to accomplish that in the history of Audiomack. 

On Boomplay Nigeria, it broke the record for the biggest debut week — it amassed over 22 million streams on the platform after four days of release. Timeless has officially made its debut on the Billboard 200 albums chart and the UK Albums Chart. It reached No. 37 on Billboard after selling over 17,000 units in the US alone and No. 10 on the UK Albums Chart.
