After securing one of 2026’s biggest hits with “Chanel,” Blaqbonez and Asake return with their highly anticipated single, “Ikebe 3000.” The record is an infectious, high-octane masterpiece that seamlessly marries Emeka’s witty, fast-paced rhymes with Asake’s signature hook and heavy log drums, delivering another club anthem.
Matching that elite momentum is Afrobeats star Lojay on his sleek new track, “Money Lingo.” The record finds him operating in a premium, smooth-talking pocket, layering hypnotic melodies over deep basslines to talk status, luxury, and success. A student of the game and melody king, BNXN also dropped his highly anticipated EP, Still In Charge, anchored by the immediate fan-favourite standout “If You Like.”
Simultaneously, street-pop prodigy TML Vibez delivers a vulnerable and gripping story of ambition on “Eyes On Me,” the leading centrepiece of his brand-new sophomore project, A Street Kid’s Diary II. Meanwhile, DJ Tunez and Apala star Terry Apala link up yet again to supply a relentless groove on “Groove,” masterfully blending club rhythms with traditional Apala drum patterns.
Rounding out this week’s Fresh Out, alté singer Straffitti connects with Suono Sai and Igbo trap star Jeriq on “Wounjore.” At the same time, UK-Nigerian act Kida Kudz reminds the world of his distinct, gritty cadence on “7th Member”. Other new releases include Mr Eazi and Moliy on “Comfort,” Bena and Janka on “Coming,” and Txmmyily, Zaylevelten & Famous Pluto on “Lalakula”.
