This is certainly one of the most stacked New Music Fridays of the year, with heavy drops from home and abroad.

Seyi Vibez leads the charge with his highly anticipated album, Fuji Moto, which looks to solidify his love for the genre, Fuji.

Wale is back with his eighth studio album, Everything Is A Lot, an intensely personal project recorded over four years that finds him digging deep into mental health struggles and self-discovery. This time, the Nigerian-American rapper fully embraces his roots, with the tracklist featuring a strong Nigerian contingent including Teni, Seyi Vibez, ODUMODUBLVCK, and the British-Nigerian R&B specialist Odeal.

Another major moment is the new single “Waist” from Omah Lay. The track is a direct lead-up to his much-anticipated sophomore album, Clarity of Mind, which the Afrobeats star has promised will be his best and most emotionally honest work yet.

Summer Walker delivers the final installment of her celebrated trilogy, Finally Over It, a sprawling double-disc project positioned as her emotional transition to self-love and healing. Meanwhile, the experimental pop visionary FKA Twigs returns with EUSEXUA AFTERGLOW, the sequel to her earlier 2025 release, pushing boundaries with fragmented sounds.

The scene also sees a powerful legacy moment with Champz (Wizkid’s son) dropping his debut EP, Champion’s Arrival, which is already a charting success.

The Queen of Afrobeats, Yemi Alade, drops the new dance-ready anthem “Shawa Shawa (Ashawo),” reaffirming her place as a genre leader, while veteran vocalist Wande Coal returns with the defiant single “Dem Go Pay.” The remix circuit is also thriving with the all-star team-up of Oberz, FOLA, & Tiwa Savage on “Oh No II.”

Look out for new tracks from Boj and Mavo on “Diamonds,” Famous Pluto and Zerry DL on “Unto the Next,” and Ruger’s confident solo track, “Muhammad Ali (Can’t Relate).”
