Illbliss, a top figure in Nigerian hip hop, has recently unveiled details about his highly anticipated seventh solo album titled Sideh – Kai.

The album consists of 16 tracks and marks Illbliss’ first solo project since 2020. The lead single, “Chukwu Ebuka,” featuring Umu Obiligbo, was released in 2023, giving fans a hint of what to expect from the full LP.
Throughout his career, Illbliss has been a driving force in promoting and popularising Igbo rap, earning him a reputation as a pioneer within the genre. He has also played a significant role as a label boss, founding the Capital Hill imprint alongside celebrated cinematographer Clarence Peters. Together, they have nurtured and supported a new generation of artists, contributing to the evolution of Afrobeats and shaping its global appeal.
The forthcoming album set for release on February 16, 2024, will bridge generations, featuring established talent alongside fresh voices shaping the contemporary Nigerian soundscape — Vector, Odumodublvck, Teni, Fave, Lade, Made Kuti, and Umu Obiligbo.
