Yaadman, formerly known as Yung L, returns to the music scene with his latest deluxe project Yes Indeed.

Building upon the critical acclaim of his 2023 EP, this expanded offering delivers five additional tracks, including fan favorites like “Vawulence” featuring Ice Prince and Sarkodie, “Sabi Boy” featuring 1da Banton, and original compositions such as “Free My Mind,” “Heavy Rotation,” and “Confama” featuring Afro Junkie. 

In the deluxe version of Yes Indeed, Yaadman demonstrates his versatility by incorporating various genres and adopting different personas in each track. From the relaxed Amapiano vibes of “Confama” featuring Afro Junkie to the collaborative energy of “Sabi Boy” with 1da Banton, Yaadman delivers a range of sounds. 

Tracks like “Free My Mind” touch on personal introspection, while “Heavy Rotation” keeps Yaadman’s signature dancehall style, and “Vawulence” features guest appearances from well-known artists like Sarkodie and Ice Prince.

A distinct quality of Yes Indeed is Yaadman’s willingness to experiment with different sounds and push the boundaries of traditional genres. With this project, he throws together rock, Afrobeats, and dancehall. This is reminiscent of his previous EP, Juice and Zimm, released in January 2020, where tracks like “Eve Bounce” featuring Wizkid portrayed his ability to blend infectious beats with witty lyrics.

As part of the new wave of artists shaping West African music, Yaadman’s versatility and talent have solidified his status as a meaningful figure in the genre’s evolution. Through projects like Yes Indeed, Yaadman continues to push boundaries and carve out his distinct place within the vibrant Afro-fusion music scene.
