Davido and Lojay’s effort on Chris Brown’s “Sensational” proved to be a winning formula as the track earned them their first NAACP Image award after it won the Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration (Contemporary) award. This victory comes after facing stiff competition from other industry talents like Burna Boy.

Nigerian sensation Tems won the prize for Outstanding International song for her single “Me & U”.

British-Nigerian actor Damson Idris won best actor in a drama television series for his role in Snowfall. American R&B star Usher was named Entertainer of the Year.

The televised 55th annual NAACP Image Awards premiered live on Saturday, March 16th and was hosted by Queen Latifah.
