With their hallmark blend of innovation and style, the latest creations of Nike for the Nigerian national team are nothing short of eye-catching.

The unveiling of the new Super Eagles home and away jerseys by Nike on their official page on X has generated excitement among fans worldwide.

The pictures of the jerseys were accompanied by a caption announcing, “Nike have dropped Nigeria’s new 2024 home and away kits 🇳🇬. It’ll be the first time in three years that the Super Eagles use white as a main color.”

A notable departure from tradition is the replacement of the traditional Nigerian football crest with the word ‘NAIJA’ emblazoned across the front of the home jersey.

The home jersey features a clean white design with green tape at the edge of the sleeves and shorts, with the Nike logo positioned above the crested “NAIJA” logo.

This sleek design is complemented by crisp white shorts and socks, creating a unified look on the pitch.

In contrast, the Nigeria 2024 away kit boasts a striking green graphic pattern, setting it apart from previous designs. The unique pattern celebrates the crossover of football and subculture, representing the creative communities that connect across the country whenever the national team takes to the pitch.

While the home jersey is not yet available for sale on Nike’s website, the away kit can be purchased for £124.99, equivalent to over N240,000.

According to Nike, the Nigeria 2024 National Team Away Kit is crafted from Dri-FIT ADV, an innovative fabric designed to keep players cool, light, and dry during intense moments on the field.

The Super Eagles are expected to don the new jerseys for the remaining matches of the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Nike’s contract agreement with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) runs until December 2026, highlighting the enduring partnership between the two entities.
