Nigerian artist Tems has released the official music video for her song “Mine,” a track off her third and latest EP, Love Is a Kingdom.
Seemingly directed by Tems herself, the video unfolds on the sidelines of a football pitch, where players are fully immersed in training drills. Against this backdrop, the Grammy-winning singer embarks on an unbothered display of affection, subtly laying claim to an unnamed love interest in a manner that mirrors the song’s lyrics.
Interestingly, UK-Nigerian Santan Dave makes a surprise appearance, remaining calm and composed for much of the video’s two-minute-and-thirty-nine-second runtime. Tems’ expressive gesticulations, Dave’s relaxed presence, and the visual interpretation of “Mine” add more flesh to the growing dating rumours surrounding both stars. The duo have been teasing fans following their collaboration on the romantic track “Raindance” from Dave’s The Boy That Played the Harp album.
