The era of joint music projects is upon us, and this time, the Nigerian industry needs to brace up for what’s coming. As Afrobeats act BNXN and prominent producer Sarz have teased their forthcoming joint project, The Game Needs Us arriving in May 11th, 2026.

Announced earlier today April 27, 2026 via their social media pages, the duo were seen holding newspapers with the cover signifying their project title and release date.

BNXN and Sarz who have been collaborators since 2023 when the singer dropped his viral hit “Gwagalada,” have continuously worked together on other tracks including “Pidgin and English,” and their latest release “Back Outside.” And with their highly-anticipated joint project, fans are in for a swell moment from the ace music duo.

This isn’t also the first time both acts have individually collaborated on a joint music project. In 2024, BNXN teamed up with former rival turned collaborator Ruger on their highly acclaimed EP RnB. While producer-DJ Sarz has collaborated with other artistes like Wurld on I LOVE GIRLS WITH TROBUL album in 2019, and Lojay’s LV NV ATTN EP in 2021.

Following BNXN and Sarz’s last studio albums CAPTAIN, and Protect Sarz At All Costs, the duo have deemed it fit to give the game what it needs. While there has not been enough details yet, it is clear that this joint project is set to make a defining statement. One where a veteran music producer teams up with a contemporary young artist to leave an indelible mark in the industry.
