Nigerian music sensation Joeboy has made a power move, leaving his longtime label emPawa to sign with global giant Warner Music. But that’s not all – he’s also established his own label, Young Legend, as well as being Warner Music’s latest flagship artist out of Africa.

This decision signals Joeboy’s ambition to take his career to the next level, both as an artist and an industry leader.

Joeboy rose to fame under emPawa, the innovative platform founded by Mr Eazi. With hits like “Baby”, “Beginning”, “Sip (Alcohol)”, etc, he was easily catapulted to Afrobeats stardom, garnering millions of streams and solidifying his place as a young talent to watch.

Warner Music is home to stars like Ed Sheeran, Cardi B, Burna Boy. This strategic partnership offers Joeboy wider reach, unparalleled resources, and the potential to crack new international markets, propelling his music to a global audience.

Young Legend, Joeboy’s newly launched label, reflects his desire to empower the next generation of Afrobeats talent. With Joeboy as CEO and Deola Jaiyesimi as Head of Label, Young Legend aims to become a factory for Afrobeats superstars on the global stage. This move echoes the support Joeboy received from emPawa and demonstrates his resolve to giving back to the community that nurtured him.
