The anticipation surrounding Sneakerfest 2023 reached new heights with the announcement of Nike as the official sponsor. This partnership added an extra layer of excitement to the event, emphasizing the profound impact of sneakers on contemporary culture. The rooftop of the Lagos Oriental Hotel transformed into a hub where youth and sneaker enthusiasts converged, united by a shared passion for creativity, self-expression, and, of course, sneakers.

More than just an event, Sneakerfest 2023 offered attendees an immersive journey into the heart of sneaker culture. The festivities encompassed various activities that not only entertained but also empowered participants. From the Basketball Slam Dunk Contests to Rap Battle, Dance Battle Showdown, and Fashion Runway, participants showcased their talents with the top three in each category earning cash gifts and coveted merchandise.

Sneakerfest 2023 attracted a diverse array of personalities, adding a human touch to the festivities. Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende, the LASG Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, made a notable appearance, highlighting the event’s significance in youth empowerment. Afrobeat stars Ladipoe and Wurld brought their musical prowess to the stage, while Big Brother Naija star Hermes Iyele and nightlife enthusiast Yhermolee added to the star-studded lineup.
