French esports organization Gentle Mates has entered the world of Rocket League through a strategic partnership with the automotive and motorsports brand Alpine.

Alpine is set to become a ‘major partner’ for Gentle Mates’ new team during the upcoming 2024 season. While Alpine is renowned for its presence in sports cars, it has also been actively involved in esports, organizing the Alpine Esports Series in Sim Racing for the past three years. 

Moreover, the automaker supported the final stages of the Blast.tv Paris Major in CS:GO as the official vehicle and motorsport partner.

In contrast, Gentle Mates was only established in April 2023 by three French influencers who have sizable followings on YouTube and in the regional esports scene. 

The organization has experienced rapid success in VALORANT, achieving promotion to the VCT EMEA League and emerging as the 2023 French VALORANT League Spring and Summer Champions.

Gentle Mates has maintained its dedication to the French esports industry even after entering Rocket League, claiming it is committed to its French heritage. Given that neither corporation had previously taken part in Rocket League, the cooperation opens up new opportunities for each of them.

A joint statement regarding the relationship was released by Gentle Mates’ three CEOs: Kevin “Brawks” Georges, Corentin “Gotaga” Houssein, and Lucas “Squeezie” Hauchard. “We are excited to start this new journey with Alpine and write a new chapter in Gentle Mates’ history,” they stated.
