Ayra Starr leans all the way into pop stardom in the new video for her Wizkid-assisted single “Gimme Dat,” co-directed by Ayra and filmmaker Annie Bercy.
Shot between London and Australia, the video features Ayra Starr dancing beside a vintage red car and spinning atop a giant vinyl record, playful scenes that match the track’s flirtatious tone. Wizkid makes a suave appearance inside a lavish mansion, surrounded by dancers.
“Gimme Dat” was produced by VybeO and Mikabeatz and samples Wyclef Jean and Mary J. Blige’s early 2000s hit “911″. Since its release on April 25, the track has quickly risen on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs Chart, marking another milestone for Ayra.
This video also marks the duo’s second collaboration, following their earlier work on Wizkid’s “2 Sugar.”
