Following a triple eviction last week, many Big Brother Naija (BBN) viewers who were expecting another big eviction night on Sunday, September 14, were left somewhat disappointed, as only two housemates — Denari and Tracy — exited the “10/10” house.

Heading into Sunday night, Head of House (HoH) Tracy, the “Most Influential Player” of the previous week Kaybobo, Rooboy, Dede, and Joanna were immune, leaving 14 housemates up for possible eviction.

During the live eviction show, Denari was the first to leave, with Tracy following later on. Bright Morgan, who finished in the bottom three just ahead of Tracy, narrowly escaped eviction on what ultimately turned out to be a double eviction night.

Denari’s departure means he will reunite with his love interest, Doris, outside the house, just a week after she was evicted alongside Big Soso and Ivatar. Tracy’s eviction, meanwhile, left her closest friend in the house, Zita, devastated.

The highlight of this week’s live eviction show came when host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu confronted housemate Imisi about allegedly calling Mide and Joanna names during a conversation with Isabella. Imisi denied the allegation and claimed it was Isabella who had made the remarks, leading to a heated confrontation between the housemates during the live broadcast. Ebuka, draped in a regal gold aso-oke agbada inspired by the viral 1977 photo of Nigeria’s former head of state Olusegun Obasanjo, had to intervene to restore calm. This marked the second live-show confrontation of the season, following a previous war of words between Ivatar and Mensan some weeks ago.

With the show now entering its final three weeks and only two eviction shows remaining, there are 17 housemates left, prompting some viewers to wonder how many will make it to the grand finale on Sunday, October 5.

In the meantime, the housemates continue competing for the title of BBNaija Season 10 winner and the grand prize of ₦150 million.
